We are committed to ensuring that all patients are treated with dignity, respect, and privacy during consultations, examinations, and procedures.

If your appointment involves an intimate examination or if you feel uncomfortable for any reason, you have the right to request a chaperone. A chaperone is a trained member of staff who will be present to support you and help ensure you feel safe and at ease.

You may request a chaperone at the time of booking your appointment or when you arrive at the practice. Where possible, we encourage you to let us know in advance so that arrangements can be made without delaying your appointment. If a chaperone is not immediately available, we may offer to rearrange your appointment for a time when one can be provided.

Your healthcare professional may also request a chaperone to be present in certain situations, in line with our safeguarding policies. The presence of a chaperone will always be explained to you, and your consent will be respected.

If you have any questions or concerns about chaperones, please speak to a member of the practice team.
