Make an appointment
If you have a medical concern that needs attention, please call the surgery and our reception team will take some brief details so they can direct you to the most appropriate person to help. It really helps if you can share the reason for your call, as this allows us to make sure you are signposted quickly and correctly.
What to do now
If you need medical help, please use the guidance below to choose the most appropriate service.
Urgent Help
Call 999 if it is a medical emergency.
For urgent health advice when the practice is closed, contact NHS 24 on 111.
Contact the practice
Contact us for non‑urgent medical problems, ongoing issues, or to discuss a health concern. We will assess your request and arrange the most appropriate care.
Pharmacy and self‑care
Your community pharmacy can help with many minor illnesses without an appointment. Trusted self‑care information is available on NHS Inform.
Practice updates
Please check our Practice Updates page for the latest information about service changes or reduced availability.
We aim to respond to all requests as quickly as possible and prioritise care based on clinical need.
How appointments work
When you contact the practice, your request will be reviewed to make sure you receive the most appropriate care as quickly as possible.
Contacting us
You can contact the practice by phone or using our online services. A member of our team will ask for some brief information so your request can be passed to the most appropriate clinician.
What happens next
Your request will be assessed by a clinician. Depending on your needs, you may be:
- given advice
- asked to attend the practice
- offered a telephone or video consultation
- directed to another appropriate service
Urgent and routine problems
Requests are prioritised based on clinical need, not the order they are received. This helps ensure that patients who need urgent care are seen as quickly as possible.
Who you might see
You may be offered an appointment with a member of our wider clinical team, such as a GP, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Practice Nurse, or another healthcare professional. All members of the team are trained to deal with specific health problems and work closely together.
Continuity and safety
We aim to provide safe, timely care for all patients. If your problem is ongoing or complex, we will take this into account when arranging your care.
Emergency appointments
Emergency appointments are available throughout our opening hours for urgent medical problems. If you feel you need to be seen urgently, please call the practice at 8.00am. A member of our team will take some brief details and arrange for a clinician to review your symptoms. You will then be contacted with appropriate advice, treatment, or an appointment as needed.
Home visits
If you are housebound and unable to attend the surgery, please call us before 9.30am to request a home visit. Requests made after this time should be for urgent or emergency situations only.
Repeat prescriptions and blood test results
If you need to request a repeat prescription or check your blood test results, please call the surgery after 11.00am. This helps keep our phone lines free for patients needing urgent care earlier in the day.
Thank you for your support in helping us manage calls safely and efficiently.
