If you live within our practice boundary (Kirkcaldy and Auchtertool), you can register with the practice by completing a new patient registration form. This can be done by downloading the form below or contacting the practice directly, and our reception team will advise you on the registration process and any documentation required. When registering, you will be asked to provide basic personal details to allow us to request your medical records from your previous GP. Registration with the practice is free of charge and does not require proof of address or photographic identification; however, providing these can help ensure your details are recorded accurately. Once your registration has been completed, you will be able to access the full range of NHS services provided by the practice. Please note that registration may take a short period to process, and urgent medical needs during this time should still be discussed with the practice.
Once your registration has been processed that means you have been successfully registered at the practice, you will receive a letter or a text message which will ask you to book an appointment for a new patients check with one of our nursing team.
Temporary Residents
If you are staying in the area for a short period and require GP care, you may register as a temporary resident. This applies if you are away from your usual GP practice for more than 24 hours and up to three months, for example due to work, study, or visiting family. Temporary registration allows you to receive necessary NHS treatment during your stay, but your medical records will remain with your permanent GP. To register as a temporary resident, please contact the practice as soon as possible and our team will explain what information is required and how long the registration will remain in place. If you are staying in the area for longer than three months, you will normally be asked to register as a permanent patient instead.

Fair Access and Registration Refusals Policy
This policy explains how we ensure fair and equal access to GP services, including the limited circumstances in which a registration request may be declined, in line with NHS Scotland guidance.
